The United States Navy is not only the most powerful Navy in the world, but it is also one of the most powerful military forces that exist. When conflict arises, one of the first questions asked by the President of the United States is, “Where are my aircraft carriers?” The quick-strike ability and the formidable makeup of a Carrier Strike Group (CSG) makes them the most intimidating and powerful forces in modern warfare.

The enlisted force of the United States Navy has been the backbone of this branch since the creation of it on 13 OCT 1775. The mission of the Navy is, “to maintain, train and equip combat-ready Naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression and maintaining freedom of the seas.” This mission would not be possible without the highly-trained and dedicated men and women of the United States Navy.

Many sailors enlist in the Navy prior to attending college. One of the great benefits that sailors have at their disposal is the education benefits. A college degree is a great way to broaden a skill-set and become more promotable. For example, a degree is highly recommended for those with a desire to become a Warrant Officer, and it is required to become a commissioned Officer.
